Perennial Plants
Our perennial plant production season begins in June and July with a lot of seeding and transplanting for the following year.
August, September, and October mean planting from bareroot.
The next big spurt of activity takes place in February and March when we plant from bare root most of the plants that were not wintered over. Some include Aconitum, Delphinium, Iris, and Sedum. The last weekend in March is an exciting time for us because the plants that were wintered over begin being stocked for sale in the Garden Center.
April and May mean more transplanting and the winding down of the production cycle for the current year. And then in June the wheel turns and we begin anew.
Some of the many perennials we grow are Aconitum, Astilbe, Black Eyed Susan, Boxwood, Butterfly Bush, Caryopteris, Clematis, Echinacea, Fern, Foxglove, Hosta, Hydrangea, Iris, Lavender, Nepeta, Paeonia, Phlox, Rose of Sharon, and Sedum.
