Tomatoes, Our Farm Tradition

We take our tomatoes seriously on the Farm. We grow Hothouse tomatoes and several varieties of field tomatoes. We grow Roma, Cherry, Yellow, Red, and heirloom varieties. Buy them here and take them home for a luscious salad.

Each January, we begin the tomato cycle in the greenhouse.  Seeds are sowed, cared for, transplanted, and then planted into bags of soil in the greenhouse, watching for proper nutrient levels, water requirements and hoping for sunny weather throughout. Each plant has it's own watering tube, so water and nutrients can be delivered at the same time, automatically.

Quickly, the plants grow and have to be trained on string so they can grow upwards. The plants reach eight to ten feet tall.
